If you modify the quick and dirty solution in my previous post to the
following, it will be much more elegant:

\begin{subtables}
\begin{table}
\caption{Whatever}
\begin{tabular}{lcr}
...
\end{tabular}
\end{table}
\clearpage
\begin{table}
\caption{Whatever}
\begin{tabular}{lcr}
...
\end{tabular}
\end{table}
\clearpage
\begin{table}
\caption{Whatever}
\begin{tabular}{lcr}
...
\end{tabular}
\end{table}
\clearpage
\begin{table}
\caption{Whatever}
\begin{tabular}{lcr}
...
\end{tabular}
\end{table}
\end{subtables}
This might be what you are looking for.
