[texhax] references in dokument

Dear Mm./Sirs,

I need a command to change the style of my reference  list in my dokument.
Now I have e.g.:
[1] Bulte J, De Cuyper M, Despres D and Frank J 1999 {\it J. Magn. Magn. 
Mater.} {\bf 194} 204-209.
I want to delete [1], so that
Bulte J, De Cuyper M, Despres D and Frank J 1999 {\it J. Magn. Magn. 
Mater.} {\bf 194} 204-209.
remains.

Can you help me ?
