You might be interested in Vim-LaTeX
http://vim-latex.sourceforge.net/. Vim already provides syntax
highlighting, Vim-LaTeX adds things such as automatic folding,
controls to run LaTeX, and a few other things. I run it on Linux, but
it should work anywhere Vim works.
