[texhax] Using Adobe OpenType fonts with LaTeX?

Hi!

I have an Adobe OpenType font that I really like (Plantin) and that I 
would like to use for typesetting my documents in LaTeX. What procedures 
do I have to follow to do that and what are the "traps" I have to look 
out for, as I understand (hopefully correctly) that OpenType is a rather 
new format for font definition and might bring about its own problems in 
connection wit LaTeX?

Any hints as to helpful resources that would allow me to "do the math" 
would be much appreciated.
