Moreover, texhax is aliased to support at tug.org (actually, I guess
it's the other way 'round), so we're guaranteed to get questions here
un-filtered.
I don't mind that, and I think things have been working fairly well,
with everyone remembering that once we were all newbies (though some
of you were newbies at a time when there was no documentation, or
even tools, so you rolled your own and now we all benefit (esp. when
we take the time to RTFM)) and patiently trying to teach people how
to help themselves (teach a person to fish and all that).
Perhaps if things became onerous and the frequency or volume of such
messages increased then perhaps some automated system for mailing
back querents to support at tug.org telling them of the on-line
resources and to verify that their query isn't answered therein might
be worthwhile (it'd be a nice problem to have, I believe).
