The report class also does this automatically, so you must be
experiencing some kind of odd conflict between the class and the
packages you're using. In other words, this is still not enough
information to help.
In order to assist you, it would be helpful if you could create the
smallest file you can that recreates the problem you're having, and send
it in another post.
