[texhax] need help

Hello,
I'm a phd student and I'm writting a ''kind of work'' in Latex2e... but 
I've, at least, one serious problem:
The first problem is that I want an ambient like
.....
blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla
Example 1.2.1
        the text in the ambien example a little bit moved from the 
original margin.
And when I write, in file.tex,  \end{ex} the text outside example 
recovers the original margin
and
blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla
...

I've tried with minipage but if the text is long, and that is my case, 
what I get is a long list of bad boxes :(
Is there any, more or less trivial,  solution?
