I am using PCTex with AMSTEX. I am trying to insert the Scandinavian
'a' (a with a little o over it)
Documentation says this is \a{a}, but AMSTEX reports an unrecognized
command sequence.
this is really \aa (or {\aa} ).
where is the documentation that says it's \a{a} ?
if it's in the amstex documentation, it's wrong,
and needs to be fixed.
