[texhax] Font tables with plain TeX

Hello Rodolfo,

    So: where is it possible to find large collections of font tables

http://tug.org/fontname/html/Standard-PostScript-fonts.html lists the
names for the 35 standard PS fonts.  You have to know enough to append
the 7t or whatever for the encoding you want.  There are also long lists
of other font names in the document, although I don't believe I bothered
to list the cm font names.  You could just look in
TEXMF/fonts/source/public/cm for that.  For that matter, a comprehensive
list could be generated by grepping your TeX installation files,
although I admit it's not a completely trivial script.

There is also Peter Flynn's typeface sampler on CTAN, for instance:

P.S. (Robin, I looked at the faq :), but didn't see an answer involving
the above, although of course there is plenty of other font-related info
there.  Maybe I missed it?)
