[texhax] Makeindex has problems with \baselineskip?

TeX isn't designed to sort, and algorithms for sorting in TeX are
torturous (but wicked cool ;)
That's why there's makeindex, and why there was a ``custom program
written in Icon'' to do the index for the book _TeX for the
Impatient_ you should be able to find this if you poke around a bit
searching.
