[Tugindia] Figure ref. numbering

Fig. 2.2.1 for the first figure,FIg 2.2.2 for the 2nd figure 
> and so on. For the next section, it says Fig 2.3.1 etc..

You have not given your requirement.

It is likely that in the preamble, you have included amsmath package
and a command line

\numberwithin{figure}{subsection}

If you want to have chapter-wise numbering, then  use
\numberwithin{figure}{chapter}
