[tldistro] Help with Arch Linux and tlmgr.pl

My question is, what's the correct way to install the system's tlpdb? If it is in the texlive sources, could you point me to the file? If it can be created using tlmgr, what command should I use? Hopefully once this file is installed tlmgr will be functional. Feel free to point me to any documentation. Thanks for reading.Agustin

Hi Agustin,

the tlpdb file has been separate for three years. In BLFS for texlive
from source I install everything and add the tlpdb so that texdoc
will work.

Unfortunately, the canonical source is ftp only
ftp://tug.org/texlive/historic/2022/texlive-20220325-tlpdb-full.tar.gz
and my preferred browser no longer opens that, but there is an
https:// copy at
https://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/tug/historic/systems/texlive/2022/texlive-20220325-tlpdb-full.tar.gz
