[tldistro] [tlbuild] problems with synctex - warning to others

Just to add to more fun, m-tx has a buffer overflow that is fixed in
m-tex 0.63a (on CTAN) but not in TeX Live.

I am testing patches for all three items now and will post here again
with the patches in case all goes well.
