Here are the same numbers using ls -l. This time I am including
numbers for three files – luatex (standard build binary),
luatex-nostrip (compiled with --nostrip), luatex-stripped (manually
stripped binary):

8632136 luatex
13822688 luatex-nostrip
12938864 luatex-stripped
