i agree that \sumint as a bigop is a good idea.
i would also like to propose \lambdabar and/or \lambdaslash similar to
\hbar and \hslash in ms*m fonts. these may even be bundled with
standard lc greeks.
there is also a "slash notation" in QED which requires that the slash be
very thin, otherwise the underlying character becomes unreadable.
are there any plans to rewrite the mf code for lc greeks so that the
sans and upright versions look better?
