Conference location

The TUG 2007 workshops and talks will take place in Cuicacalli Hall in the southeast corner of the campus. A close-up map of this area is available, as well as a general campus map.

Again, the Cuicacalli Hall front desk phone number: 1-619-594-2622. Except for breaks, someone should be at the desk 24 hours a day.

The Cuicacalli Suites consist of three buildings: Tacuba the east tower, Tepeyac the west tower, and the middle building, Cuicacalli Hall, which houses the dining room and main front desk. The workshops and conference will take place on the ground floor of Cuicacalli Hall in the Cuicacalli Seminar Room. Dormitory residents will be on the third floor of Tacuba Residence Hall.

Free parking in Parking Garage #3 is located 1-2 minute walk away from Cuicacalli Hall.

If arriving by trolley, exit at the SDSU stop, take the elevator to the ground floor, cross over the pedestrian bridge, turn left. The bridge ends at Tepeyac Hall. Walk a bit east, next building is Cuicacalli Hall, enter at main entrance.

Amenities and other transportation

There is a swimming pool and volleyball court located in the central quad area of the residence halls.

Other recreational facilities such as basketball courts, weight room, bowling alley, etc., are available in the Aztec Recreation Center. Near the top of the page is a link to a guest pass. Click on it, fill it out and print it. This entitles you to one free workout. Beyond that, workouts are $10 or $12 for 24 hours (the rate is may go up, we're not sure). You need to have ID with you to purchase the daily pass, and most likely to use the guest pass.

SDSU offers a free shuttle service connecting the campus core with its outlying parking lots. It's called the Red and Black Shuttle.

The college area around SDSU has a variety of other transportation options. The San Diego transit system runs several routes to popular destinations in San Diego, and the SDSU trolley station connects SDSU to the Mission Valley and La Mesa trolley lines.

Stop by the Aztec Center information booth to find out more about bus and trolley schedules.
