See section 9 of the dcumentation ("Migrating from lucidabr"):

altbullet:  The option is no longer provided.  Instead [...],
   redefine \labelitemi  appropriately, if you don't like the
   shape of the default item label \textbullet.


For instance, to use the darker \bullet from the math font,
put the following into the preamble:

   \renewcommand\labelitemi{$\bullet$}


Thus, you will change only the definition of the first-level
label in itemized lists (and that's exactly what you have been
asking for!)
IMHO, this is a better solution than changing the definition of
\textbullet, which would affect _all_ font families used in the
document, even though you wanted that only for Lucida.
