Script fonts? (eusm8 and 9)

Thank you very much Frank and Sue for your suggestions.

Revising the standard.sub file did the trick for printing. Problem solved!

If I follow the idea in the info Sue sent, if I understand correctly, then
the right font will appear in DVIWINDO too.

Thanks very much

David

Dear David,

This error is in DVIWINDO. You are missing the pfm and probably the pfb
files for those. You would need to get the pfm and pfb file for the design
sizes 8 and 9. If you are only concerned in getting the font printed
correctly you can just add a line into c:\yandy\dvipsone\sub\standard.sub
(that way you don't need to change anything anywhere else) that reads as
follows:

eusm8 eusm10

eusm8 will now be substituted with eusm10 (this is an example only, you have
to check which one you have). Please keep in mind that there's no problem
with this as eusm8 and eusm10 are identical. In PostScript each font file
contains the outlines in 1pt size and the driver scales them to the
requested size. This is contrary to the workings of TeX (or contents of the
.tfm files). In other words, the numbers 8 and 10 in the PostScript fonts
are just part of the font name and have no bearing on the actual size.

Thanks,
Frank
