I have a problem ;-)

I'm trying to get some files to run under my upgraded Y&YTeX v. 2.2.8,
but am running into an error message. From my log file, it seems that
my file's looking for these two .fd files:

   OT1ptm.fd OT1phv.fd

And yet, the files are supposed to be looking for the corresponding
and necessary LY1ptm.fd and LY1phv.fd files.

I figured I'd try the sledge-hammer approach ;-) and put the two .fd
files right into the working directory. But no joy -- the same error
messages:

LaTeX Font Info: No file OT1ptm.fd. on input line 180.

and

LaTeX Font Info: No file OT1phv.fd. on input line 180.

So why does my machine think that it has to go to the OT1 encoding?
I've just checked my Fonts menu and it shows that TeX'n'ANSI (LY1) has
been checked off ... My dviwindo.in file also says that ENCODING =
TEXNANSI.

The [Diagnostics] part of my .in file reads:

Does anyone have any suggestions?
