+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I HAVE RUN W2KFONTS.EXE FROM THE CD.
THE PROGRAM
 INSTALLS THE FONTS AS IT ALSO DOES THE POP- UP MENU OF THE
CD.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I THINK THERE MUST BE SOME
INITIAL BUG IN THE W2K VERSION OF Y&Y OR THE FONT INSTALLATION. OTHERWISE, IT CAN
NOT BE EXPLAINED WHY USING THE POP UP MENU OF THE CD ONE CAN NOT INSTALL/RUN THE
SYSTEM WITHOUT PROBLEMS

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I RUN
YANDY\UTI\SETUPTTF.EXE –S
FROM THE COMMAND PROMPT.
I GET THE MESSAGE:
WINDOWS DIRECTORY IS C:\WINNT
FOUND F:\WINNT\WIN.INI
FONTS IN F:\WINNT\FONTS

CONTENTS OF [FONTS] IN WIN.INI

FOUND NO FILES NAMED F:\WINNT\FONTS\*FOT

.
Then I get many lines of the form:

ARIAL (TRUE TYPE)= ARIAL.FOT
ETC

.

WHEN I latex (Y&Y), E.G.,  THE HELLO_LB FILE
I GET MESSAGES OF THE FORM:
“FACE NAME: ARIAL BOLDITALIC
NAME ERROR IN SOME TT FONT (PROBABLY AUTO-CONVERTED T1 FONT)
RUN THE SETUPTTF. UTILITY”

ONLY IF I INSERT IgnoreBadInstall=1 in the [Window}] Section of the Dviwindow.ini
these messages do not appear any more.

HOWEVER THE PROBLEM WITH THE WRONG SCREEN DISPLAY OF LIGATURES, ACCENTS ETC
REMAINS.
