[Xy-pic] Trouble with monomorphisms

Ah, thanks. Is this the preferred way to typeset monomorphisms in
xy-pic? Does everybody generally type "\newdir{ >}{{}*!/-5pt/@{>}}"
somewhere in their document? (I'm new to xy-pic, but loving it.)
