[Xy-pic] Re: integrating recent fixes: Will there be a new release?

Dear xy-pic team,

last autumn we, the maintainers of the teTeX packages in the Debian
GNU/Linux distribution, asked you whether you would upload a new version
of xy-pic to CTAN, since Ross Moore had recommended not to use the
current CTAN version, but enhance it with patches from
http://www-texdev.ics.mq.edu.au/xypic/xymods.tgz. 

Do you have any plans for a new release, and how stable do you think are
the patches? Note that there will be a new teTeX release soon -
therefore it would be good if it could include a recent version of xy-pic.
