A few years ago I was trying tosee how can we have spot colors in XeTeX. After some work, I patchedxdvipdfmx, created a package, testedthe software and an asked peopleto integrate it. Now people can usespot colors with XeLaTeX and LaTeX.Conclusion: experiment, patch thecode and contribute. We cannot waitothers do what we like to see in thetools we use every single day.
