[XeTeX] Integrating Fontconfig into Mac Xetex

Dear All,

If I were to integrate fontconfig along with the Mac font list,  would the
community accept such a patch, in principle? Of course it would be subject
to how well I implement the integration.

An easier adaptation would be to switch Xetex on the Mac to use fontconfig
only, which is not as bad as it sounds since AAT fonts would still go
through CoreText via Harfbuzz. Things have moved forward quite a long way
this century :-)

Thoughts?
