Hi,

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is good to know that this new
feature is included in texlive 2016 and works well in Adobe Reader (search,
copy), okular (serach, copy, export as text) and pdf2text with this new
feature.

I also tried with file with sanskrit text in devanagari script (
http://sanskritdocuments.org/doc_shiva/AryAshatakamappayyA.pdf) created
under texlive 2016 on ubuntu 14.04, viewing it with Adobe Reader XI on
Windows 10 and the results are similar - funny selection, save as text
getting ... instead of devanagari, but search and copy/paste work
beautifully :-)

Thank you so much to the developers for adding this feature. Much
appreciated!! We plan to update all the pdfs on sanskritdocuments.org
with \XeTeXgenerateactualtext
enabled to create searchable devanagari pdfs.

Thanks and Regards.

ShreeDevi
