First, you should examine whether the font is intended for Sanskrit or
Hindi. trya in Hindi is very scarse, in fact i managed to find just a
single Hindi word: स्वातन्त्र्य (usiong "like" search at
http://www.cfilt.iitb.ac.in/~hdict/webinterface_user/dict_search_user.php)
Thus it is not a big surprise that it does not work well in Lohit
Hindi although it should be impemented. Anyway, the best place for
such tests is not here but submit the bug reports to the font
maintainers. I have just found that स्वातन्त्र्य is dislayed well in
FreeSerif and Gargi1_7 but not in FreeSans (I will file the bug report
after verification that I have the latest version).
