[XeTeX] installing mac font on linux

But a T1 font should still work under Linux, no?  (Sorry, stupid 
question from a non-Linux users, but I am curious about this.) There are 
so many T1 fonts out there that it would seem strange if this were not 
the case.  Certainly both Windows and Mac OS let people keep using T1 
fonts, even though they aren't being sold anymore, and I am able to use 
them in XeLaTeX.
