[XeTeX] Tamil document creating problem.

i create the Tamil document using xelatex,when i complie the document i get
an error like:

(/usr/share/texmf/tex/xelatex/fontspec/fontspec.cfg))
! Font \tamilRoman=lohit-ta:script=taml at 12.0pt not loadable: Metric (TFM)
fi
le or installed font not found.
l.3 ...t\tamilRoman="lohit-ta:script=taml" at 12pt


how to solve this problem.
