What you attached to your eMail is kind of a symbolic link file  
substitute, something similiar to a file alias in Apple's HFS, it's  
not the file the link is pointing to.

Could you also send the output from

	ls -l /cygdrive/d/woody/.texlive2009/texmf-var/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap

There must be some reason why this branch was recreated...
