TDS can be downloaded from here<https://developer.berlios.de/projects/bidi/>
.
Changes:
- Bugs reported about bidi footnote mechanism is fixed.
- Now both color and xcolor packages work as expected in RTL and LTR
mode. This means, \color, \textcolor, \colorbox and \fcolorbox works
properly in RTL and LTR mode now, but note that color spanning multiple
lines is not supported. For color spanning multiple lines, you will need to
use xecolour package.
- A new package bidiftnxtra is added. Generally in standard LaTeX,
footnotes in tabular environment, inside \caption{} and \section-like
commands (e.g \chapter, \part, \subsection, ...) does not work. This package
makes footnote works inside the mentioned environments and commands. The
package is completely compatible with bidi footnote mechanism.
- A new package bidipoem is added for typesetting Persian/Arabic poetry.
There are two environments traditionalpoem and modernpoem is provided. For
details on traditionalpoem and modernpoem see
here<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_literature>.
Basically traditionalpoem environment is for typesetting Classical Persian
poems (Arabic poems follow our convention) and modernpoem environment is for
typesetting modern poems.
- A new option `FarsiTeX' is added that is only useable when you have
loaded multicol package. What it does is basically makes multicol package
bidirectionally useable by FarsiTeX's approach of making multi column
typesetting RTL, but unlike FarsiTeX (where you only can typeset just RTL
and nor LTR), you can typeset both RTL and LTR with this option. (Previously
we did this in our own approach).
- The extra blank paragraph in wrapfigure documents are fixed.
- headers and footers now are working bidirectionally without needing for
any extra macro programming. This is done by modifications to LaTeX
\@outputpage macro.
I might have forgotten some of the changes/fixes, but there are all the
important ones that I can remember.
