Still trying.  The new version requires some libraries (specifically,
libexpat.so.1) that we don't have in that version on our Linux machines (we
have libexpat.so.0.5.0), and our sysadmin is not in at the moment to try
and find the new versions of these libraries.  Aaargh...why does fixing one
little thing require that the entire computer be updated!

(you can ignore the complaining, just venting)
