I presume you have to sudo move them to the right places in your
local tree /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local and run 'sudo texhash /usr/
local/texlive/texmf-local' – and later remove them (and again run
'sudo texhash /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local') when the package has
become part of TeX Live.

To get an idea where to put these files, if it's not documented in
the package, invoke the following command for each of the found file
types:

	kpsewhich --show-path .<file name extension> | tr : '\n' | grep -v
"$HOME" | sort

The output will not be much detailed, you will need to study the
structure in the system's XeTeX installation into

	/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/doc/xetex
	/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/fonts/misc/xetex
	/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/tex/xetex
	/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-var/web2c/xetex
	/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/scripts/xetex

to get some idea. The last two places are less probable.

The other option is to leave all files in this directory and to
create and process your Xe(La)TeX files there too.
