[XeTeX] teckit library issue

I have compiled teckit program on fedora and Debian machines at work and
home. The teckit in fedora works fine but in Debian when I run
teckit_compile, I get

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
teckit_compile: error while loading shared libraries:
libTECkit_Compiler.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

It has been compiled correctly without giving any error. Can you please give
me a hint to fix this?
