[XeTeX] Unicode editor on Mac (for indian languages like devanagari, kannada etc)

Hello,
Thanks for all the responses.
I had to do font setting in preferences to make it work for TexShop.
However, the same does not seem to work for TextEdit!!
For Kannada, TexShop does display, but I find that keyboard input support is
not there for MAC!!
