[XeTeX] polyglossia spanish problem

Hi,

I've identified a problem when using polyglossia with spanish:

\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{polyglossia}
\setmainlanguage{english}
\setotherlanguages{spanish,german,french,brazil}

\begin{document}

\begin{itemize}
    \item Foreign word: ``\textspanish{banana}'' (spanish)
    \item Foreign word: ``\textbrazil{banana}'' (brazil)
    \item Foreign word: ``\textfrench{banane}'' (french)
    \item Foreign word: ``\textgerman{Banane}'' (german)
\end{itemize}

\end{document}
%-- MWE end ---

There is a spurious space before \textspanish, but not before any other language.
Anybody here who knows a solution for this apparent bug?
