To add to Akira' reply: the macro exists in xelatex.ini since six
months and this version is being distributed with TeX Live 2009 –
'though it never made it to TL '08... (which had its last update just
one week earlier – strange release policy)
It should work to swap the '08 version with '09 one and recreate the
XeLaTeX FMT file.
