If you want to, you can:

	$TEXMFHOME +
	           +---Project X + (all text sources)
	           | |
	           | +--- Project X graphics files
	           +---Project Y + (all text sources)
	           | |
	           | +--- Project Y graphics files
	           +---
	           +---all purpose graphics dump site

Another way is using project names as prefix to the image files.

I hope that some day users will become as intelligent as their
computers (and find things inside a cache haystack without burning it
down).
