[XeTeX] XeTeXinputencoding and log-file

Hello,

if I run 

\documentclass{minimal}
\begin{document}

\XeTeXinputencoding tata
aaa
\end{document}

with XeLaTeX (This is XeTeX, Version 3.141592-2.2-0.997 (MiKTeX 2.7))
I get a message about the non existing encoding on the screen:

) (test-xetex.aux)! unknown encoding "tata"; reading as raw bytes
 [1] (test-xetex.aux) )

But the log-file doesn't contain anything about it. Could the message be
added there too?
