[XeTeX] How do I build xdvipdfmx (or xdv2pdf) on Windows?

OK, I think this must be some kind of issue with the Leopard dev  
tools (I'm still running Tiger here). Your log includes things like:

configure:2950: checking for suffix of executables
configure:2957: gcc -o conftest.dSYM    conftest.c  >&5
configure:2960: $? = 0
configure:2984: result: .dSYM

which is clearly wrong, and has something to do with the change to  
the default debugging format in 10.5.

I'm not sure why this is happening only in the xdvipdfmx configure  
script, and not earlier, but I'll try to get a Leopard system  
installed and check it out. Might not get done until next week, though.
