[XeTeX] setting japanese in miktex2.7

Hi,
Yes, this is the wrong mailing list.
I have texlive 2007 and the examples in the CJK
package do not all work, and your error message is
vaguely familiar. In my case, the
\begin{CJK*}[dnp]{JIS}{min}
actually works, and is the only option that works
('maru' or 'song' instead of 'min' both fail in my
distro). So either you need to install the fonts
(wadalab fonts) into miktex, or you need to update
some mapfiles and font definitions.
To be honest, I would not advise using CJK for
Japanese, but rather use xe(la)tex. It is much easier
to use, and the version available in Miktex 2.7 should
do most of the 'regular user requirements'. The only
issue is finding a Japanese OTF if you don't have one.
I can help out if needed.
REgards,
Wilfred
