[XeTeX] PDF files only sporadically included

xbb is the improved ebb. ebb fails for intro21a.pdf.
xbb and ebb create a file containing BoundingBox
information used by latex.
xbb and ebb are not needed in the case of XeTeX,
since XeTeX can calculate sizes of graphics.
