Hi,
tex4ht is a (nice) tex to xml converter, (IMO) based on better grounds than others.
But its support of xe(la)tex is very “sparse”, and it seems that its author has a lot to do at the moment.
So I thought I could do some work, but I'm a noob.
At the moment tex4ht uses configuration files for every font present in the document, in order to extract text data.
My question is, can someone suggest ways or pointers on how to get text from the xdv files ?
If there is a simple way to do that, maybe htxe(la)tex can be simplified to not use configuration files for character replacement in fonts, but instead, using a configuration file specifying a fonts replacement table (to specify the fonts to use in the CSS stylesheet).
Thanks in advance,
