[XeTeX] xelatex and quoting text

Jon,

If you load your font this way:

> \setmainfont[Mapping=tex-text]{Palatino Linotype}

the usual LaTeX way of typing ``quotes'' should work fine.

Alternatively, check your Character Map or Palette or Font Explorer or
Keyboard Viewer for the keystrokes that will let you insert the
quotes. Working in Xe(La)TeX you can type directly whatever has a
Unicode position (and is not frown upon by your editor!). In a Mac,
say, with a ``British'' keyboard, you would type Opt. + [ and Opt. +
Shift + [ for opening and closing “double quotes”.

Best,
Juan
