[XeTeX] Stretching glyphs vertically?

Yes there is, if you're using a fairly current xetex + xdvipdfmx: use  
the "stretch=..." pseudo-feature (or the corresponding Fontspec  
option) to *condense* the font to 0.5 horizontally, and use double the  
original point size.
