Thanks, on my system it is in
C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\fontconfig\config
There I find a file fonts.conf (as on Linux), with a line like
<include>@MIKTEX_CONFIG@/fontconfig/config/localfonts.conf</include>

When I create a file localfonts.conf in the same directory (that should
be included, see above), containing the top of the directory trees with
my fonts (as on Linux), i.e.,

	<dir>c:\TeXlive2007\texmf-dist\fonts\opentype</dir>
	<dir>c:\TeXlive2007\texmf-update\fonts\opentype</dir>
	<dir>c:\TeXlive2007\texmf-commercial\fonts\opentype</dir>

the fonts in these trees are not found (by default those in
c:\winnt\fonts are found). Moreover, when I use a Unix-like syntax,
i.e.,

	<dir>c:/TeXlive2007/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype</dir>
	<dir>c:/TeXlive2007/texmf-update/fonts/opentype</dir>
	<dir>c:/TeXlive2007/texmf-commercial/fonts/opentype</dir>

the fonts are not found either.

When I put the same lines directly in the file fonts.conf again
The fonts are not found (each time I do a fc-cache first).
What is the correct procedure and syntax?

Thanks for your help, Michel Goossens
