[XeTeX] MnSymbol OTF font

At the beginning of the year the MnSymbol OpenType font instances
were made available on CTAN. They cannot be directly used by XeTeX
(they lack the Microsoft MATH table entries), and hence they still
Have to rely on the standard TeX font machinery (tfm, etc.)
Nevertheless, for the PDF-generation stage, I still would like
to learn how to instruct xdvipdfmx to use the OTF instances rather
than the pfb ones, as indicated in the MnSybol.map file (which is
in the directory .../fonts/map/dvips/mnsymbol).
Is it enough to create a directory .../fonts/map/dvipdfm/mnsymbol with
a file MnSymbol.map, with all the end of the lines which have something
like:
....< MnSymbol6.pfb
replaced by
... < MnSymbol6.otf
Thanks for explaining the correct way of handling this. Many thanks. Mg
