Remembering the excitment that followed the first announcement of the
existence of XeTeX on 9 April 2004 in a message of Bruce d'Arcus to
the MacTeX list:

it is extremely gratifying to see how XeTeX has catched up,
especially since its incorporation in TeXLive:

- Creation of specific packages in CTAN at macros/xetex/latex/
(arabxetex, bidi, xgreek, ...).

- Experimental adaptation of pstricks.

- Experimental driver for pdfpages.

Long live XeTeX!
