[XeTeX] XeTeX, TeX Live 2005, Mac OS X 10.4.x

Hello,

is there any progress in XeTeX for TeX Live under Mac OS X since May?

I had to reinstall my os recently and to install TeX Live once more.  
Without XeTeX. I downloaded a dmg-file and run the installer, but  
it's, as far as I know, for teTeX, not for TeX Live. And when I type:

$ xetex
...
** \end

I get an error:

kpathsea: Running mktexfmt xetex.fmt
fmtutil: running `xetex -ini   -jobname=xetex -progname=xetex  
*xetex.ini' ...
! I can't read xetex.pool; bad path?
Error: `xetex -ini  -jobname=xetex -progname=xetex *xetex.ini' failed

This is a summary of all `failed' messages and warnings:
`xetex -ini  -jobname=xetex -progname=xetex *xetex.ini' failed
warning: kpathsea: mktexfmt output `! I can't read xetex.pool; bad  
path?' instead of a filename.
I can't find the format file `xetex.fmt'!


I have to use Futura in the document, which I'm actually setting, and  
I don't know any other way to do it as XeTeX. Help! :)
