[XeTeX] {XeTeX] Xetex Win32 problem

Dear Akira,

I found the cause of my problem in running xetex w32 port is the incompatibility of the DLL's.

The xetex-w32.tar.bz2 contains three windows DLL's, namely, msvcp71.dll, msvcr71.dll and msvcrt.dll. I think they are not compatible with my version of Windows. If I remove these three files from w32tex/bin, I can run fc-cache and fc-list. But I still can't run xetex. I still get the same fatal error as before. I think the xetex.dll is also not compatible.

Do you think this is the cause of the fatal error? Is there any way to fix it? 

By the way, I'll also like to try building the package myself. I don't have VC++. Is it possible to build the package using gnu g++ with cygwin or mingw?
