There is "greek.ldf":
	/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/tex/generic/babel/greek.ldf

If you use Babel does it not automatically load its own default font, 
"cbgreek"? That is what it does by me and it would have to be disabled 
(I have no idea how).
